Agreed Framework between the United States of America and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea

This Framework Agreement between the United States of America and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) signed in Geneva on 21 October 1994 aims to to resolve the overall nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula. The parties agreed to replace DPRK's graphite moderated reactors and related facilities with light-water reactor power plants and other alternative energy arrangements. 

Agreement on a Temporary Ceasefire and the Cessation of Other Hostile Acts on the Tajik-Afghan Border and within the Country for the Duration of the Talks (Tehran Agreement)

This ceasefire agreement provides for the temporary cessation of hostilities until a referendum is held on the new constitution and the election of a new president of the Republic of Tajikistan. With a view to building confidence, the parties also agree that within one month following the signing of the agreement the authorities of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Tajik opposition would release their prisoners of war. In order to ensure the effective implementation of the agreement, the two sides agree to establish a Joint Commission consisting of representatives of both sides.

Akosombo Agreement

This agreement supplements and amends the Cotonou Agreement of 25 July 1993, which provides a framework for resolving the crisis in Liberian. It supplements the military and transitional provisions previously agreed to in Cotonou.
