Dar-es-Salaam Declaration on Peace, Security, Democracy and Development in the Great Lakes Region

The parties to this declaration affirm their collective determination to transform the Great Lakes Region into a space of sustainable peace and security. They support all the national peace processes in the region, and commit themselves to strengthen their cooperation in the areas of defense, arms trafficking, DDR, and struggle against terrorism. They shall promote democracy, good governance and human rights, as well as political participation and gender equality. The parties also commit themselves to cooperate in supporting economic development, especially through regional integration.

Protocol between the Government of the Sudan, SLM/A and JEM on the Enhancement of the Security Situation in Darfur in accordance with the N’Djamena Agreement

The parties to the protocol agree to (i) refrain from all hostilities and military actions; (ii) implement the N’Djamena; (iii) release immediately and unconditionally all persons detained in relation with the hostilities in Darfur; (iv) cooperative with African Union to facilitate the process of strengthening AMIS; and (v) refrain from recruiting children as soldiers.  

Accra III Agreement on Côte d'Ivoire

This agreement implements the Linas-Marcoussis Agreement of 23 of January 2002 as well as Accra II of 7 March 2003. It addresses issues such as eligibility criteria for the Office of the President, Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) and human rights. It also establishes a tri-partite mechanism with ECOWAS, the African Union and the UN to report on the implementation of the Accra III agreement.
